Frequently Asked Questions

We know choosing to study at Bible college is an exciting step, and you may have practical questions along the way. Below are answers to some of the most common questions about classes, costs, credit options, and enrollment. If you don’t see your question here, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’d love to connect with you.

What’s the difference between the Credit Experience and the Audit/Unit Experience?

  • Credit Experience: You fully participate in class, complete assignments, and maintain attendance. Tuition is $150 per credit hour. Credits can count toward a degree at Portland Bible College or transfer elsewhere (depending on the school).

  • Audit Experience: You attend and learn in the classroom setting without assignments or attendance requirements. Tuition is $75 per unit hour. No credit is awarded.

How much does each class cost?

  • Basic Doctrine (2 1/2  credits/units): $375 Credit / $187.50 Audit

  • Old Testament Survey (2 credits/units): $300 Credit / $150 Audit

  • Life of Christ (1 1/2 credits/units): $225 Credit / $112.50 Audit

There are no additional fees beyond tuition.

Can I set up a payment plan?

Yes you can:

  • Pay in full at the start of the term

  • Choose a monthly plan (3 equal payments)

  • Choose a bi-weekly plan (6 smaller payments)

Do credits count toward a degree?

Yes. Since we are an affiliate of Portland Bible College, credits from the Credit Experience can be applied toward a PBC degree or transferred (subject to other schools’ policies).

Where are classes held?

Classes meet in person at Cornerstone Church. (online options will be considered on a case by case basis).

How do I access my student portal?

Follow this link to fill out a form and we will add you to our online portal:

Do I still need to apply if I choose the Audit Experience?

Yes, all students must fill out an application so we can place you correctly and connect you with the right classes.

Do I need to buy books?

Some classes will require textbooks. A book list will be provided before the start of the term. All books are very affordable (under $20)

How much time should I expect to commit?

Classes meet weekly according to their credit hours (e.g., a 2-credit class = about 2 hours a week). Credit Experience students should also plan extra time for assignments and study.

Should I pay a down payment?

A down payment at the start of the term is optional—but it lowers each installment on your monthly or bi-weekly plan.

Can I switch between the Credit Experience and the Audit Experience?

You may request a switch during the first week of classes only. After week one, changes aren’t allowed. Switching to credit adjusts tuition to the for-credit rate and adds assignments/attendance requirements; switching to audit moves you to the unit rate with no assignments/attendance. To switch in either direction in week one, contact Ben Dublanko.

Who can I contact for more information?

Grays Harbor Bible School is directed by Ben Dublanko who is happy to talk about any and all questions you may have about our school.
